Komatex

KOMATEX is a lightweight rigid foam PVC sheet. It has a matte finish that is tough and versatile enough for many of today's applications. The matte surface is the perfect substrate for screen printing, digital printing, painting, laminating, and vinyl lettering projects. KOMATEX is manufactured to be used for interior and limited exterior applications. Currently, several projects at Envision are using Komatex material. While none of them are plastic enclosures, we have multiple machine panels being CNC routed using this Komatex material.

KOMATEX is the preferred expanded PVC sheet for uses requiring the following characteristics:

• Chemical and corrosion resistance
• Moisture resistance, very low water absorption
• UL94-V0 flame rating
• Thermal and sound insulation (absorbs vibrations and oscillations)
• Approved for use where food is processed or sold
• Similar surface finish on both sides of the sheet

Komatex is not for sale, but we'd be happy to fabricate a part using this material.
