Customer Application: Our customer found Envision online after a search for 'ACM Enclosure Fabrication'. He was shocked to find someone who actually made enclosures out of this unique aluminum composite material.The application involved housing a fire suppression system that would be installed under range hoods in households, apartments, and commerical settings.
Important Criteria: Being that the housing is installed overhead under a hood, it needed to be lightweight yet durable to hold some pumps and electronics. It also needed to match the color and gloss level of range hood paint. Fortunately stardard finishes include glossy white paint and a brushed aluminum finish for multiple ACM brands.
Envision's Solution: Our development team was able to provide the glossy white Alupanel brand ACM in a .118 thickness which was the perfect material for the application. In addition, we were able to put into play another great value of ACM - the easy hand forming and assembly of the material. We could ship the material in the flat (saving the client freight cost) and the customer was able to form and fasten the housing on the job site versus taking up warehouse space with fully assembled ACM enclosures. The prototype fit perfectly dimensionally under the hood and met every expectation the customer had in functionality and aesthetics.
